How to Send Your Gold, Silver, & Rare Coins

We suggest that you use the United States Postal Service (USPS) to mail your coins to us. Pack your coins securely in coin tubes, bags, bubble wrap, paper towels, or other cushioning material before placing them in the box or pack (please don’t use a regular envelope). Make sure that the coins are packed tightly; otherwise, they might rattle around, causing damage, slipping out, or increasing the risk of theft. Be sure to tape the edges of the box to prevent coins from sliding out or being tampered with, and we strongly suggest you insure shipping for all items over [dollar amount] in value.

On all orders over [dollar amount], YourCoinBuyer.com will reimburse you for your shipping cost up to [dollar amount] (or more if approved in advance) when a purchase is made. We can also email prepaid and insured shipping labels (we use a third-party insurance provider) for you to print out and attach to your package, allowing you to simply drop it off at the post office to have it scanned and obtain a receipt. It is important to ensure you have tracking on all shipments to us, and additional insurance is recommended for high-priced items. Based on the total value of the sale, YourCoinBuyer.com may agree to cover additional insurance and tracked shipping costs; advance approval for shipping expenses over [dollar amount] must be obtained prior to shipping—please contact us for approval.

The post office provides free Flat Rate Priority Mail boxes/packs in various sizes (again, no envelopes please). The Small Flat Rate box is [dollar amount] and includes tracking and basic insurance. If you are sending a large number of coins or heavier items, a larger Flat Rate box can be used—if it fits, it ships! For larger shipments that require multiple boxes and extra insurance, we will cover the cost when a purchase is made.

Please print a copy of the packing slip generated by our site and include it with your package; if you don’t have a printer, you can write down the information from the packing slip and include it. Although not required, we appreciate customers who use the Check My Status feature and provide us with a Tracking Number, so we can also monitor your shipment.

We will reimburse your shipping cost up to [dollar amount] for orders over [dollar amount] when we process your payment. For larger orders, we can reimburse you up to [dollar amount] for shipping and insurance upon receipt of a copy of your receipt or by emailing you a prepaid and insured shipping label. If we provide you with a prepaid and insured shipping label, once you receive the post office receipt confirming that your item has been scanned and received, the sale price of the item is fully covered and protected by our third-party insurance provider; should the item be lost or stolen, the full value will be paid by the insurance provider.
